Logos
Inspiration:  This was made as an assignment for a graphic design course. The prompt was to create a logo and brand identity for a commercial business with a website which sells and ships products. Crickets.com is a fictional brand inspired by a real business that farms and sells live insects for those with exotic pets that need to eat bugs.
The exotic pet industry tends to form branding that is very harsh seemingly playing to the stereotype that those who keep reptiles are big tough macho men who are fearless and tamed this wild dangerous beast. This is far from the truth. They also never seem to show a reptile that just looks calm and peaceful. The photos are always of an angry animal looking like it’s about to attack. This is also far from the truth. The idea behind the brand identity was to be light and cute, create packaging that would look good on your shelves and speak to reptile owners who see their scaly pets as their little friends who deserve good care and a proper diet.

Customer engagement card
Audience: people who keep exotic pets.

Process:  The logo, bug graphics and shipping box dielines were made in adobe illustrator, Engagement card was made in Indesign, stock mockups were used in Photoshop to display the shipping box and other products. Stock imagery was used as well.
